Description

A dramatic, intimate portrayal of the Calling of Matthew: a surprised tax collector looks up from his coins as a calm, commanding figure points toward him. Rich chiaroscuro, warm afternoon light and textured impasto focus attention on the gesture and the faces.

Perfect for a study, entryway, or as a gift for collectors of devotional baroque-style art.
