Description

Invite the drama of early Dutch Baroque into your home with Abraham Bloemaert's Moses Striking the Rock, painted c.1611. The composition gathers men, women, children and livestock beneath a rocky overhang as Moses raises his staff and water flows from the stone; attendants scoop the life-giving stream into jars and basins. Rich chiaroscuro and warm flesh tones lend the scene theatrical intensity and devotional weight.

Perfect for traditional living rooms, studies, gallery walls, or as a thoughtful gift for lovers of Old Master painting.
