Description

Step close to a quiet domestic moment with this painting by Vincent van Gogh, painted about 1885. A peasant woman crouches at a simple brick stove, holding a pan above a small fire while a kettle and bowl sit on the earthen floor; the warm flicker of flame and strong shadow give the scene an intimate, humble presence.

Perfect for a study, kitchen, cozy dining room or as a thoughtful gift for lovers of Dutch painting.
